Joel Laslett Pott

Joel is probably best known as frontman in multi-platinum selling indie band Athlete, writing numerous hits including Half Light, Superhuman Touch, El Salvador, Twenty Four Hours, You Got The Style, Chances & Hurricane across four studio albums. The band's biggest selling single, Wires, went on to win an Ivor Novello award for 'Best Contemporary Single'.

These days Joel spends most of his time co-writing with other artists and producing. He was nominated for Breakthrough Producer of the Year 2017 by The Music Producers Guild. He’s received two further Ivor Novello Award nominations in 2015 for co-writing George Ezra's single Budapest and again in 2019 co-writing #1 single Shotgun. He also co-wrote and produced George Ezra's #1 album 'Gold Rush Kid'. Other credits include releases with Joy Crookes, Jack Savoretti, Kawala, Tom Walker, Tom Grennan and Mabel.
